Language Map – Western Province

Language maps represent the most current data on what language is spoken in what locations in PNG. They are edited frequently when new information becomes available. Though these maps are nowhere close to representing the true diversity of the language situation in PNG – for example, these don’t show dialects or the multilingualism common in PNG – they do reveal the amazing number of languages in PNG – 840!
