Which is a better way to get around? Well it depends. It might seem that the powerboat with the gasoline engine would be the best but in this part of Papua New Guinea, fuel is very expensive and hard to come by. The wind is always here and very inexpensive! Choices don’t always have to be made based on speed and efficiency. Sometimes that is hard to comprehend. In many cultures around the world, relationships are much more important than accomplishment. Taking the time to really know somebody is rarely efficient but it can pay off in the long run when working in multicultural teams. Pray for language development and Bible translation teams in PNG as they work together in multicultural environments that have many different values. Pray that they each member can learn to appreciate the other teammate’s values as they work together.
