Catching a ride

There are many ways to get to work but the most common way  in Papua New Guinea (except perhaps walking) is by PMV (Public Motor Vehicle). PMVs come in many shapes and sizes but all are used to move people from here to there. Sometimes they can become very full, like the one below where the only place left to stand is on the back. Obviously, this is not the safest place to be and in fact going by PMV can be risky. There are times when our language development and Bible translation workers have no other form of transportation and have to take the PMVs. Pray for the safety of these workers as they move about the country.
