Without clouds, the sunset is not the same

Without clouds...
Without clouds…

If there are no clouds in the sky the sun simply goes down in a rather routine way. But give the sun some clouds to reflect off of and the evening sky turns into all different glorious shades of colour. Isn’t that true in our lives? When life’s routines are simple and there seems to be few challenges or obstacles to live through, we often can give little thought to reflecting the Son. However, when the clouds of life seem to come from all directions, our hearts cry out for more of the Son’s influence on our lives. Our family lost a great friend last week who was a strong supporter of the Bible translation ministry. Why did he support? Because he knew the value of the Word in his life and wanted others to know the same. Supporting Bible translation and language development is about reflecting the Son in words that the reader can understand. Pray for those who support the cause and give praise for someone that reflects the Son in your life.

  1. “For God has made me fruitful in the land of my affliction.” [Gen41.52b]

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as we share abundantly in Christ’s sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too.” [2 Co.1.3-5]
