Translators and language development workers in Papua New Guinea wear many different hats. They often have to work in different roles. Many of these are not related to the roles, typical of their official assignment. Sometimes its because there is a lack of resources and they end up doing jobs that others could do but because no one else is doing them, it becomes their responsibility. Sometimes the local resources are not available so they must do the task themselves. Pray that workers in these situations can be free of tasks that keep them from doing the work of translation, literacy and other tasks that they have been trained to do.
