Burned out. It is an issue that some language development workers and Bible translators have to face. It comes from working harder than they should be and usually without support. It is easy to see how it can happen when you recognise the passion that they have to get the Scriptures into the heart language of the people. But working harder … and harder … and harder isn’t the answer. Pray that language workers and Bible translators in Papua New Guinea can find a realistic schedule, with proper help and support without losing the urgency required.
