Papua New Guinea is blessed with many natural resources. Minerals, gas, oil and wood are found in abundance. Most of these resources are located in remote areas which makes getting them to export sites, quite difficult. However, there are positive and negative ramifications as these resources are cultivated. The roads created to help move the resources provide transportation access to language groups that do not have a current translation project. The income generated can be used for good things like water projects, improved medical care, increased access to educational opportunities and language development projects. It also can lead to increased crime and other vices. Pray that the income created from these natural resources is used wisely, even used to bring the Scriptures to a new language group.
