The end of the day

The end of the day
The end of the day

Have you ever noticed how at the end of the day even nature seems to calm down? Nothing soothes the soul like a nice place to sit and watch the sun set slowly into the west. In Papua New Guinea, the setting sun often signals a time to gather around a lantern or fire and begin storying. Perhaps it is about the events of the day or maybe a story from the past. Life settles down and relationships are built. Translators often use this time to test out how the scriptures sound in the heart language of the people. Does it make sense? Is it how they would say it? Pray for these quiet times as the Scriptures are read. Pray for meaningful translations and for life change.
